Globals Pane

The Globals Pane display a list of any globals that are owned by the currently selected package.

Globals are typically objects like PoolConstantDictionarys. Although classes are strictly globals, from the point of view of the Package Browser we don't count them as such since they are handled separately by the packaging system. When you add a new global object into Smalltalk it is not initially assigned to any package. In the same manner as for classes, such globals are called uncommitted globals. Use the Package/Add Uncommitted/Global menu command to add uncommitted globals to a package. This brings up a list of all of the existing uncommitted globals in the image. Using this dialog you can add multiple globals to a package in one operation.
