A First Splash with Dolphin

Next page

This series of experiments contains some examples for you to try just to get started with Dolphin. The idea is to get you used to the interactive nature of the Smalltalk environment and introduce you to a little bit of Smalltalk syntax. If you already know Smalltalk it might still be worthwhile going through the examples just for a bit of fun. It should only take you about 10 minutes.

If you're in a rush then you can ignore the text in the smaller typeface (like this). This is just supplied on an "if you're interested" basis.

To get started,  open a Workspace by double-clicking the "Workspace" icon in the main Dolphin System Folder. Then position this First Splash window and your new workspace side-by-side on the screen so you can see both at the same time.

If you get lost you can always get back to this page by choosing the Help/First Splash menu command in any Dolphin tool window.
