We started work on the Dolphin Smalltalk product in February 1995. The first public version was released at the end of 1997 and since then we have enhanced and maintained the system through six versions. Our latest offering is Dolphin X6.

Our product range comprises two current versions of Dolphin Smalltalk; one commercial edition and one freely available "community" edition. A "Next Generation" version of Dolphin is also under development. Click on the links below to find more about each product.

Dolphin's MVP framework continues to appear daunting to new Smalltalk users and yet it's really rather similar to Visual Basic but with "more wing nuts". Perhaps revisting the design rationale behind MVP might help? [more]

As you may know, we launched the Dolphin video library about a month ago with the start of a series of in-depth screencast videos showing how to use Dolphin Smalltalk to build an animated game. Well, I've just released the final two parts to this series and also included the source files for download. [more]

We've launched a new video library to support Dolphin programmers with a series of "how-to" videos. Eventually, this video library should grow to include plenty of "hands-on" material to supplement the existing help tutorials. [more]
